I’m an artist and illustrator with a deep love of figurative art. From before I can remember I’ve been putting pencil to paper. It’s more than just something I do. I can’t imagine myself without it.
Art is most moving to me when it depicts humanity, when it depicts us, really, our history, legends, dreams and fears, the make up of our stories. Stories are the basis of our cultures as well as the basis of each individual within them. And stories are what compel me, enthrall me and inspire me to create art.
So naturally I’m drawn to art that gives me a momentary glimpse of a story, like a single frame of film from a grand epic. And so, in my own art, I try to capture those fleeting moments.
This blog is meant as a place to showcase my artwork, to share my inspirations and to talk about my progress as an artist.
